Kinect Rush: A Disney Pixar Adventure is an exclusive Kinect out on March 23 dedicated to a young (very young), which allows you to enter the world of five Pixar animated films. During a recent event in Milan organized by Microsoft have had the opportunity to attend a presentation of the game, chat with the guys at Asobo Studios and dress clothes for a few minutes of a Pixar character.
TRAVEL IN THE UNIVERSE PIXAR
Toy Story, The Incredibles, Up, Cars and Ratatouille is Pixar films are set in which the adventures of our character, a boy (or girl) that depending on the chosen level may take the shape of a robot, a superhero, of a child, a car or a mouse. Once you create your alter ego Pixar-style option with a rapid scanning of your body / face, you can enter without more preambles favorite in the world (each consisting of three different episodes), and soak up the atmosphere typical of Pixar films. The game mechanics are fairly simple and, with the exception of special sequences in Cars, adopt almost identical solutions. Apart then from the character chosen, the goal is always to reach the end of level running, jumping, clinging to ledges and ropes. Within each environment are present and simple puzzles are hidden (in a more or less simple to locate) of gold coins that unlock new content that allow, for example, to reach areas at first sight inaccessible. With regard to the world of Cars Instead, the game structure is typical of racing game; using a virtual steering wheel you have to drive your own car in a path full of shortcuts, slide rails and forks, with the possibility of using a turbo (or jump) to avoid these pitfalls.CHILDREN'S PLAY
The idea behind Kinect Rush: A Disney Pixar Adventure is to create a family game that can be used with satisfaction by a child of five years, but which contains both elements of interest to older children. The adventure is developed through several floors, with a first layer (the simple goal achievement) not at all prohibitive and perfect for a small beginner and upper level (the recovery of coins, the discovery of the extras, obtaining scoring record), which latter may be interesting for children who already have a minimum of familiarity with video games. The desire to create a title for families is confirmed fairly evident from the choices made when designing the multiplayer modes. All adventures can indeed be experienced in offline co-operative, and were not taken into account options or competitive online, so the idea is clearly to have fun with brothers / sisters / parents / friends in the same environment, without giving rise to challenges or games with unknown

From a purely technical point of view, the sequences that we tested showed an appreciable level of detail in the complex. Pixar's hand in this situation is evident, with a sub-graph that has a much greater care than many other products aimed at very young audiences. Pleasant also the accompanying sound, that uses (at least in the original version, we have no confirmation about the Italian one) of the original voices of the film. Appreciated the implementation of Kinect and the response was sufficiently precise command to help ensure a smooth sliding action and always without a hitch.
TARGET HIT!
Seen through the eyes of an adult, Kinect Rush: A Disney Pixar Adventure is a product too linear and structured in a way too easy. However, it is easy to understand how a child can find fascinating is the ability to interact with their heroes venturing into the worlds of their favorite cartoons and how the game mechanics designed by the team of Asobo are ideal for him to live a rewarding experience. In this perspective, Kinect Rush seems to center in the middle of his goal and, if the final version will confirm what we have seen so far, will become an essential purchase for fans of the universe who has children Pixar.
